A restaurant smuggled from Mexico to China Town. Bodega is a Mexican restaurant and mezcal bar hidden underground on Little Bourke Street, and open 7 days / week.

Descending the stairs to the dining area, you are overwhelmed by moody candle lit shrines, graffitied lampshades, and Mexican hip-hop, in what is a highly immersive and simply cool restaurant, that manages to skip all the tacky Mexican clichés.

There's 3 booth seats in the main dining area that are customisable, giving great flexibility to host all kinds of groups and occasions. The adjoined rear-dining area features 5 more tables that can also be arranged in a number of different combinations to suit your needs, both day and night.

Expect a huge selection of traditional flavours coming out of the taqueria, as well as melt in your mouth share dishes and desserts from all over Mexico. The entire food offering is gluten free, and also features plenty of vegetarian and vegan options too, all of which can be tailored to your group.

Their famous Tommy’s Margarita is a must have, and leads the way to one of the largest Tequila and Mezcal collections in Australia – you can also organise a special Mezcal experience for your group. There is also several drinks package options ranging from beer + wine packages right up to cocktail experiences.
