Big Poppa’s is an award-winning late-night restaurant located on the lively, main strip of Oxford Street in Darlinghurst. They serve modern Italian dishes, gourmet cheeses, a huge selection of hand curated wines and non-stop hip hop music until 3am every night.

Whether you’re wanting to stand and mingle (cocktail style) or sit down and feast, Big Poppa’s has got a space to suit you. With the restaurant and bar levels both available for exclusive hire as well as the entire venue (both levels), the venue’s versatility allows for a variety of configurations and styles of event inc. daytime events and options that don’t require a minimum spend or total exclusive hire of the venue.

Know you’ll have guests with a Biggie kind of appetite? Big Poppa’s has banquet menus perfect for sharing, canapes if you prefer something more casual (but still damn delicious) and even cheese and wine pairings, if you feel like getting a bit fancy. With enough notice, they can cater to most dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan and dairy and gluten free.

The drinks menu is where they really shine. Wine, champagne, beer, cider, spirits – you name it, the Poppa’s team have got it in spades. Cocktails too – serve them all night or just on arrival. Or not at all – your call. Beverage packages are also available if you feel like cutting loose or just pre-select what you want available and you and/or your guests can pay on consumption.

Whole Venue

Walk into Big Poppa's from Oxford St and you step into a fully functioning restaurant with its own bar - perfect for feasting with your crew. Head downstairs and there's a dancefloor, another bar and lush banquettes to relax in (if you're that way inclined). Booking both levels of Big Poppa's is the definition of having your cake and eating it too.

 

Restaurant (upstairs/street level)

From bright and airy during the day to moody and candlelit by night, Big Poppa's restaurant area is a true chameleon. Their main dining table sits 14pax right by the light of Oxford St however the whole dining room is perfect for a daytime meeting or lunch of up to 48pax.

 

Bar (downstairs/street level)

Descend the winding stairs and enter Big Poppa's bar area, available for exclusive or non-exclusive hire Monday – Sunday until 3am. In this space, you'll have your own private bar and bar staff, two large banquettes to spread out in, three high top booths and bar seating. Depending on your group size and booking exclusivity, there may be space for a dancefloor.
