With a central location at the Spencer Street end of Little Bourke, Higher Ground calls home to a heritage listed 1890’s former power station.

The warehouse space is unique and flexible and can be set in multiple arrangements to create a truly distinctive event - with the ability to accommodate groups ranging from quaint gatherings to large festivities. The extraordinary space encompasses six connected levels that effortlessly wrap around the perimeter of the original brick building, delivering a host of entertaining spaces.

Carefully curated with luxurious furniture, modern finishes and lush greenery, there isn’t a detail missed. Higher Ground’s food is familiar but unique. Grounded in solid technique, it’s both delicious and refined, with tailored menus available to suit your taste and budget.

Exclusive hire is available and allows guests to explore and enjoy the grand beauty of the entire building. The venue can hold up to 300 guests as a cocktail event, and 120 as a sit down. Private spaces are also available on our mezzanine levels, on evenings the restaurant is open for dinner (Thursday-Saturday). These areas are perfect for intimate gatherings, private dinners or cocktail events.
