Offering 2 upstairs balcony rooms that are perfect for a wide range of events, the spaces boast private bars, private balcony use and stunning parkland views. The pride themselves on offering flexible packages to suit any budget and any style of event, and are always willing to bring your ideas to fruition.

Maxwell Cooper Room


The Maxwell Cooper Room is located on the first floor of the Alehouse. It has been decorated in the style of the Victorian era with two marble fireplaces, large mirrors, ornate cornices, ceiling roses, and brass light fittings.

The room is filled with natural light via three separate entrances that lead out onto an expansive balcony (suitable for all weather conditions) with views over Pulteney Street and Hurtle Square. The Maxwell Cooper Room can host 16 people for a sit-down event in the room and 40 people on the balcony, or 110 people for a cocktail style party (inclusive of the balcony).

Thomas Cooper Room


The Thomas Cooper Room is located on the first floor and has also been decorated in the Victorian era style. The space is bright and boasts two entrances with a balcony that overlook Hurtle Square.

It is ideal for a luncheon or dinner, meetings or cocktail parties and comes fully equipped with a screen projector. It has a seated capacity of 70 people including the balcony, and can host a stand up cocktail style event of up to 100 people.

Arnou Function Room


Arnou Woodfired is the perfect area for a dinner party of 40-60 guests. With your own exclusive access point to the front bar and easy accessibility to all amenities, Arnou can be enjoyed by all. Group bookings are set with linen and glassware for a formal setting and set menus can be tailor made by the host.

Carrington Bar


The Carrington Bar is a flexible function space on the ground floor and is a completely self-contained function area with parkland views of Hurtle Square. It is wheel chair accessible and is perfect for large dinner parties or cocktail events of up to 150 guests.
