The National Gallery of Victoria is an iconic Melbourne staple founded in 1861, and is the oldest and most visited public art gallery in Australia. Restaurant Associates accommodates functions on behalf of the National Gallery of Victoria and are committed to ensuring your next event is one set to be a stand-out.

The NGV can host cocktail soirees or sit-down dinners. There are even dedicated event planners to ensure your event will leave your guests wowed. On offer is two unique spaces:

Great Hall


Famous  for its stunning, stained glass ceiling by Australian artist Leonard French, the Great Hall provides an ideal setting for a memorable corporate or wedding dinner. This space can accommodate seated style receptions for up to 500 guests with space for a dancefloor or 600 without and up to 1000 guests cocktail style. Don't be scared off by the size of the space, it is just as beautiful for sit-down dinners as small as 200 guests.

Garden Restaurant


With dramatic windows on three sides and bathed in natural light, the Garden Restaurant setting is relaxed and elegant. This space can accommodate seated dinners for up to 120 guests including space for a dancefloor, or 150 without, and up to 180 guests cocktail style.
