If you’re looking to hold casual functions or group drinks, there are many ways to make the ground floor pub areas work for you at the Rochey. Whether it’s reserving some tables in the front bar, a sit down set menu for up to 25 in the long dining room or a party down the back near the pool table and beer garden, the Rochester Hotel are nothing if not flexible.

The Green Room


Private, with customizable food and drink options and a decked out sound system, The Green Room is an entire upstairs space for revelry to create your best memories yet. She’s old charm with a new face built to host up to 120 guests for a cocktail do or up to 50 of your nearest and dearest for a sit down feast. The separate lounge provides a quiet corner for conversations.

Of course, you can enter via the pub, but a VIP entrance via George Street can take your guests upstairs to the private space consisting of two rooms overlooking Johnston Street.

The cocktail party menu includes small bites to hold in one hand with a drink in the other, along with heartier items to satisfy the belly. Seated, feast your heart out with their banquet options to suit whatever your soiree.
