Tucked away on the top end of Lygon st, this homely, cozy, cabin inspired bar brings a little bit of North America to the heart of East Brunswick. This north American inspired boasts a fun and creative cocktail menu, loads of local beers (on tap and in cans) and a huge range of spirits.

The menu is full of small bites, ranging from smoked meats, to sliders, to mac and cheese bites. The kitchen is open daily to satisfy your late night munchies. There are food options for everyone, including gluten free and vegan.

Born from the minds and hearts of hospitality veterans, it was the love of the outdoors and the inspiration from North American log cabins where this collective started this small, cozy bar. The team at The Wood Samaritan operate with the ethos of sustainability, community and environment, which is evident in the general trade of the bar, as well as the patrons who visit.

The venue holds a lot of ambiance in its leather chairs and fireplaces – you’ll feel like you’ve stepped out of the bustle of Melbourne and into a meticulously knick-knacked cabin in the woods. This makes a great spot for after work catch ups with friends, or a perfect spot for a date night.
