Mummies After Dark

Friday the 15th, it’s time to experience your own night at the museum! As part of the popular Queensland Museum’s Egyptian Mummies: Exploring Ancient Lives you’ll be walking, talking and drinking like an Egyptian.
There’ll be music, drinks and demonstrations. Attendees will have free reign to explore the joint displays that include six real-life mummies dating back to 900BC and 200 objects and artifacts on display alongside them.
Be like Brendan Fraser or Tom Cruise and try to unlock some ancient mysteries while knocking back drinks. You can also walk away with a new skill after experiencing Dr Serena Love’s talk on Brew Like an Egyptian: Ancient Egyptian Beer Making.

Brisbane’s Burger Invitational
61 Gregory Terrace, Bowen Hills
The Brisbane Burger Invitational is a two-day truck market dedicated to the best burgers in Brisbane. And if there is one great love of the Brissie people- it’s their burgers.
Over the 16th and 17th you’ll find the likes of Bearded Brothers, Notorious E.A.T, Mr Burger, Ben’s Burgers and more battle it out for title of the city’s best burger!
As with all events at the ‘Welcome to Bowen Hills’ lot entry is free and your four-legged friends are welcome. The cost of the menu will all be regular restaurant pricing. If you are able to round up five mates, you can sit in a booth and pair your burger eating with three hours of bottomless booze.

This Friday, the Treasury Casino is putting on a cheese and wine filled evening that will have you feeling like you’re on the other side of the world.
Between 5pm and 8pm you’ll get to pretend you’re in Europe with wares from the likes of Tuscany, Paris and more.

Opening night of ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time’
QPAC Concert Hall, Melbourne Street
After standing ovations on both Broadway and West End, the Olivier and Tony award winning production has finally made its way to Brisbane.
From June 12th to June 24th, ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time’ will be showing at the prestigious QPAC Concert Hall.
Adapted from Mark Haddon’s Whitbread winning novel, the story follows Christopher Boone who discovers the corpse of his neighbour’s dog. After immediately becoming a suspect, Christopher sets out to clear his name.
