What’s on Guide: Easter Weekend

The Easter weekend is on its way! It’s a jam-packed few days in Melbourne, so prepare for the big event with our comprehensive guide of what’s on. If you don’t yet have plans, gather the mates, the kids, or anyone ready to party, because you will after this.

The Food Truck Park Chocolate Festival
518 High St, Preston

If chocolate is your favourite part of Easter, then this is the event for you. From March 30 to April 2 (5 – 11pm), Melbourne’s home of street food transforms into a choc-lovers heaven, celebrating Easter with a range of chocolate-themed treats.

It’s a free-entry event, and it’s open to all ages – even your pups! (Keep their paws off the chocolate though – it’s only for the humans, so go nuts!)

The Great Luna Park Easter Egg Hunt
18 Lower Esplanade, St Kilda

What better way to celebrate Easter than with the dynamic blend of rollercoasters and chocolate (perhaps with some time in between). From 12 to 3pm on March 31 and April 1, Melbourne’s all-time favourite theme park is hosting an epic Easter egg hunt  – and the race is on for kids and adults alike!

It’s free to enter when you have an Unlimited Ride Ticket or Annual Pass, so make the most of the Easter experience and get feasting while you queue up for those gorgeous vintage rides.

Easter Egg Hunt at the Chocolaterie
Great Ocean Rd & Elkington Rd, Bellbrae

Gather the fam, the snacks, the keep-the-kids-entertained toys, it’s time for a roadtrip! From March 30 to April 1, the Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie will host a series of epic Easter Hunts from 10am to 2pm. Among picturesque surrounds, the kids can scurry for sweets while the grown-ups indulge in Easter inspired cakes and tarts at the Chocolaterie’s café.

Head on over to the showroom later on to check out thousands of decadent Easter chocolates – from tiny decorative eggs to whimsical chocolate bunnies. It’s basically a chocolate museum, so feast your eyes – literally!
