An iconic Sydney landmark since 1885, The Edinburgh Castle aka ‘The Eddy’ is a timeless testament to the spirit of the city’s traditional pubs and historic hotels.

Preserved by the laughter and spirit of tales past, the hotel’s walls were once refuge to some of the country’s most famed creatives. A storied pub known as Henry Lawson’s chosen writing nook, quenching thirst and bearing witness to some of his greatest poems and short stories.

Today, The Edinburgh Castle enters a new era by rewriting the rules on Sydney pubs.

Whether you’re visiting Sydney's beautiful city, working nearby, or looking for a place to watch sport and wind down, The Eddy welcomes you with wide open arms.

As you walk through the doors, you’ll be met by a warm and knowledgeable team whose great service rests on good old-fashioned values. Chat to them about your day while they help you choose a beer, select a wine, or find the perfect dish for a true Aussie dining experience.

The Upstairs Lounge Bar is the perfect cozy place to drink or dine, offering fantastic cocktails and a great space for private parties and functions.

'The Eddy' is a real Australian pub with a glowing historic fit out, full of character and good times for all.

They like keeping things exciting and make our guests feel special. Every night of the week we've got something going on at The Eddy:

Wine down with Happy Hour Monday to Friday 4-6pm with $5.50 house wines and local beers and $6.50 house spirits.

On Mondays, start the week off smiling with our Burger & Beer special from 5pm. Pair any burger on the menu with a 4 Pines Amber or Pacific Ale for $20.
