The newly renovated Shelbourne Hotel has been one Sydney CBD’s favourite venues since 1902. Known for good pub food, alfresco afternoon drinks in the leafy Garden Bar, its weekend nightclub and private function rooms, all with views over Darling Harbour, Shelbourne Hotel is one of Sydney’s most popular hotspot.

The Garden Bar features a large outdoor area (under cover) with vertical garden, oversized pot plant tables and cosy cabana booths. The bar attracts a crowd from nearby offices for lunch, dinner and social drinks after work. Renovations have made this bar a new go-to on a weeknight for low-key dinner and drinks in groups large or small. Fridays get especially busy from 5pm so get in early or book ahead.

For office groups, the LinQ Bar & Restaurant is great for team lunches or quieter casual dining occasions. Try the communal share dishes like a 12 hour slow roasted lamb shoulder which is sure to make mouths water. Chef’s specials start from $15 and the bulk of the menu us around the $20 to $25 dollar mark.

On Saturday night it’s all about dinner in the garden before Kandy Nightclub which kicks off from 9pm and runs till 3am. Party groups and guest lists are possible, or stroll in before 9pm and party the night away for free.
